The Carolinas

[edit | edit source]The Carolinas are one of two sets of North + South States in the United States, specifically being North Carolina and South Carolina.
The Carolinas split in 1712, due to differing economic interests. North Carolina was more interested in tobacco farming, and had fewer slaves. South Carolina was more interested in sugar plantations, and had many slaves.
