Atlantic Beach
Summary
[edit | edit source]Atlantic Beach is a small town in Carteret County, it has a small population but a bustling tourism industry due to it's placement between Bogue Sound and the Atlantic Ocean.
It neighbors Pine Knoll Shores to the West, Morehead City to the North, and Beaufort to the Northeast.
Atlantic Beach is also home to Fort Macon, an old military base that is now a tourist attraction. It used to defend the Morehead City Port from possible invasion.
